Car was finished in 2012. Present odometer reading is 35 miles. Engine 502 cu in. big block; centrifugal blower, intercooler, blow-thru carburetor. Transmission Turbo 400, push-button shifter. Rear axle is 9” Ford, 3.25:1 ratio, Truetrac differential. Brakes 13” rotors, calipers 6 piston front, 4 piston rear; hydro boost power assist. Air bag suspension, anti-sway bars front and rear. Power steering, tilt column. Original X-frame boxed and smoothed, rear channel section replaced with rectangular tubing. Unique 8-spoke wheels, custom hubcaps, smoothed sidewall tires. Custom seats based on original rear seat and El Dorado front seats. Body front clip made one piece with fabricated bumper panel, different park lights and intercooler air inlets. New grille opening with custom grille, headlight bezels and trim. Hood shortened and set in a new header panel. Firewall smoothed and cowl panel smoothed. Wheel wells welded in and smoothed, rear wheel openings raised. Custom side trim on lower body line, custom bumper trim and trunk lid trim. Body sectioned from mid point of doors to rear of car at belt line to remove the original offset in door and trim. Rocker panels in door area moved in, doors extended to bottom of body. Vent windows removed, door posts and window surrounds machined from aluminum. Door handles shaved, bear-claw latches installed. Marker lights added front and rear. Rear quarters extended and blended into a new rear bumper panel with custom backup lights, tailpipe openings and license recess. Tunneled ‘60 Impala taillight lenses, machined bezels. Hood and trunk lid smoothed top and bottom, operated by air cylinders. Underside of body paneled in and smoothed. Trunk modified for air system, side compartments for batteries and wiring, spare tire and tools on a slide-out tray. First time shown ISCA awards - Houston Millwinder, Shreveport Waldron, Dallas Diamond, Chattanooga Croft, Austin Texas Star. Chicago Select Six. ISCA Custom Category Champion four different years.
