Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1961 Ford F-100 Unibody Restomod. Some trucks are restored. Others are customized. Very few are transformed into rolling works of automotive art while still preserving the history and soul that made them special in the first place. This 1961 Ford F-100 is one of those rare builds.Ford\'s 1961 F-100 Unibody occupies a unique place in pickup truck history. Produced for only a short period, the innovative Styleside Integrated Cab design combined the cab and bed into one flowing body structure, giving the truck sleek styling unlike any pickup before or since.Today these trucks are among the most sought-after Ford pickups because of their distinctive appearance and limited production, making them ideal candidates for tasteful restomod builds like this one.Originally a rust-free California farm truck, this remarkably solid F-100 spent decades under the dry California sun, developing the kind of authentic patina that simply cannot be duplicated. The truck was brought to Massachusetts around 2015 where an experienced restoration mechanic recognized that the weathered exterior told a story worth preserving. Rather than covering it with fresh paint, he carefully restored the truck mechanically while protecting its incredible natural finish beneath multiple coats of matte clear. The cabin was transformed into a fun tropical-inspired interior featuring custom upholstery, Hawaiian-print trim panels, fresh glass and weatherstripping, while a custom AZEK bed floor, integrated storage compartments and countless thoughtful details completed his goal of creating a well running truck. The current owner, who purchased the car in 2018, immediately fell in love with the truck\'s personality and unmistakable appearance, but wanted modern drivability to match its incredible looks. In that year, the truck was entrusted to The Paddock Classic Car Restorations of Connecticut, where it underwent an extensive restomod transformation over an 18 month period. More than $60,000 was invested by the current owner alone, resulting in the truck you see today. The original drivetrain was replaced with one of the most respected and dependable V8 combinations in the hobby—a Goodwrench Chevrolet 350 cubic-inch crate V8 surrounding by all new components including Aluminum Radiator with two electric fans, Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 EFI System, new alternator, water pump, fuel pump and more. Engine was paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission with new 16 inch Speedway Motors floor Shifter. Additional added Modern conveniences included an EPAS Performance electric power steering system, Legend Series power disc brakes, dual master cylinder, brand new complete air conditioning, upgraded suspension, new wiring, improved lighting and a premium sound system make this truck every bit as enjoyable to drive as it is to admire.Showing 16,079 miles with the truck being driven approximately 3,000 miles since completion of the restomod build. The first thing everyone notices is the incredible authentic California patina. Unlike imitation \"rat rod\" finishes, this truck wears decades of genuine history that has been meticulously preserved. Truck Exterior Highlights include:Original rust-free California body,Original natural patina professionally preserved beneath five coats of matte clear,New reproduction tailgate with custom hinges intentionally left in raw steel to naturally age,Satin Ivory front bumper and grille,Halogen headlights,Updated parking and tail lamps,Third brake light cleverly integrated into a vintage Coca-Cola bottle mounted in the original fuel filler location,Ocean Mist Green factory steel wheels mounted with Coker Classic Whitewall radial tires,Beautiful lowered stance with approximately 3-inch suspension drop andExcellent glass and weatherstripping throughout. The Custom bed is every bit as impressive as the exterior. Rather than traditional wood planks, it features a beautifully executed custom AZEK composite decking floor stained black and finished with polyurethane for exceptional durability. Additional bed features include Painted Ocean Mist Green AZEK bedside panels, Stainless hardware throughout, Built-in hidden storage compartments perfect for beverages, detailing supplies or road trip essentials, New Custom-mounted 10-gallon aluminum fuel tank behind the cab. The interior is unlike anything else on the road. Finished in Ocean Mist Green and Satin Ivory, the tropical-inspired cabin perfectly complements the truck\'s weathered exterior while remaining tasteful and incredibly inviting. Features include ; Completely restored cab, Custom upholstered bench seat with aqua pleated inserts, ivory panels and dark blue piping, Hawaiian-print door panels and trim, Fresh carpeting and reproduction floor mat, Green tinted replacement glass, New weatherstripping, Custom aluminum trim, Auxiliary power outlet,Under-dash air conditioning and additional aftermarket gauges for water temp, oil pressure and voltage. The result is a cabin that\'s fun, comfortable and guaranteed to make passengers smile. The undercarriage is clean and very solid and virtually every suspension component has been replaced including: New front and rear leaf springs, Gas-filled shocks, New steering linkage and Updated braking system including all new lines. The truck has been dropped approximately 3 inches giving it a great stance. All of this work results in a truck that drives far better than a stock 1961 pickup while still retaining it\'s classic truck character.Long road trips are made even better with a professionally installed audio system featuring: an Alpine AM/FM/CD/USB head unit with Memphis dash speakers and JBL speakers behind the seat for excellent sound quality throughout the cab. Included with the sale is an impressive three-ring binder documenting the original restoration by the previous owner and all the receipts from Paddock Restoration detailing every aspect of the restomod build. The truck is stored in MA and comes with a clean Massachusetts title in the owner\'s name and for MA buyers, a registry letter allowing transfer of the original Massachusetts Year of Manufacture registration plate if desired. This very unique and beautiful truck represents an enormous amount of time, craftsmanship and expense .It runs, drives and handles very well. Whether you\'re looking for an unforgettable weekend cruiser, a show favorite, or simply one of the coolest classic pickups you\'ll ever own, this 1961 Ford F-100 Unibody delivers in every way.It draws crowds everywhere it goes, starts conversations at every gas station, and is just plain fun to drive.Call Jeff today for additional information or to schedule a viewing.
