The 1960 Trail-A-Sled Air Sled, VIN 1004, 2 passenger vehicle finished in a striking red and white paint. This sled is powered by a 125 hp Lycoming 0-290-G engine, which is similar to an aircraft engine with Wood Propeller. but is used exclusively for land use in this sled. It has the remarkable capability of reaching speeds of up to 100 mph! The previous owner has added some custom touches, including aluminum skis and a torsion axle that provides some suspension to the sled. Rear Drag Brake. Includes Wheels and Skis! The Trail-A-Sled company was established in 1959 in Crosby/Ironton, Minnesota. Between 1960 and 1963, a total of 35 units were produced, with 25 of them specifically built for Polaris to sell. Completely climate-controlled, our showroom is under 24-hour security surveillance. Our ceilings utilize 1,200 linear feet of flourescent lighting and we have monitored and we have monitored air exchange with carbon monoxide detectors. We also feature theft and fire security systems, and the local police and fire department are just blocks away. This is the cleanest, brightest, and safest showroom in the industry!
