1960 Chevrolet Impala ZZ4 350 Restomod
This 1960 Chevrolet Impala is the kind of classic that checks all the right boxes - iconic styling, bright red paint, polished chrome, custom leather interior, Vintage Air, overdrive transmission, big billet wheels, and a strong ZZ4 350 small-block under the hood. It has the timeless full-size Impala presence, but with the upgrades that make it a much better car to actually get in, drive, and enjoy.
Finished in a slick red exterior, this Impala has the long, low, wide body lines that made the 1960 model year so special. The paint is an older finish, but it still presents extremely well with a straight body, deep shine, and excellent curb appeal. The chrome and trim are in great shape throughout, the glass shows well with no cracks, and the car has the right stance thanks to a fresh set of Billet Specialties wheels.
Exterior
The red paint gives this Impala a bold, show-ready look while still keeping the car classic and tasteful. The body lines are straight, the brightwork shows very well, and the car has the unmistakable 1960 Impala rear fins, side trim, and wide front grille that make these cars so desirable.
The rear fender skirts are included with the car, giving the next owner the option of running it with or without them depending on the look they prefer.
Wheels & Stance
A brand-new set of Billet Specialties wheels was just installed, measuring 20 inches in the rear and 18 inches up front. The setup gives the car a killer modern stance without taking away from the classic Impala body style.
It is running 275 rear tires and 225 front tires, giving it the right staggered look and a confident footprint on the road.
Interior
The interior has been fully customized and finished in real leather, giving the cabin a much more refined feel than a standard factory-style interior. The tan leather pairs beautifully with the red exterior and gives the car a clean, upscale look.
Inside, you'll find custom front bucket seats, a custom console, modern radio, upgraded upholstery, and a finished trunk area. The trunk has also been fully redone and presents nicely, making the whole car feel complete from front to back.
Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a ZZ4 350 small-block Chevrolet V8 paired with a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission. This is an excellent drivetrain combination for a classic cruiser, offering strong small-block power with the benefit of overdrive for better drivability.
The engine bay has a clean, dressed-up appearance with polished components including the brake booster, alternator, valve covers, intake, and more. It is equipped with an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, giving the car dependable performance and a classic hot rod feel.
A Ford 9-inch rear end has also been added, giving the car a strong and desirable rear-end setup.
Brakes, A/C & Undercarriage
This Impala is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drums, giving it improved stopping power over a factory-style four-wheel drum setup. It also features Vintage Air that blows cold, making this a much more enjoyable car to drive in warm weather.
Underneath, the car is clean and solid, with the exhaust dumped neatly out at the bumper. The undercarriage presents well for a car that was built to be driven and enjoyed.
The Drive
This is a great-driving 1960 Impala with the right blend of classic looks and modern upgrades. The ZZ4 350 gives it plenty of power, the 700R4 overdrive makes it more road-friendly, the Vintage Air keeps the cabin comfortable, and the custom leather interior makes every drive feel special.
With lots of receipts included - ranging from the battery to the engine - this Impala is a well-sorted classic cruiser with big visual impact, excellent drivability, and one of the most recognizable body styles Chevrolet ever built.
