Representing the final year of the highly desirable first-generation, two-seat Thunderbirds, the 1957 model is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and collectible American automobiles ever produced. With its unmistakable styling, iconic tailfins, beautiful chrome accents, and sporty personality, the '57 Thunderbird remains a timeless symbol of American automotive excellence! We are proud to offer this absolutely gorgeous 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, beautifully finished in striking Red with its ORIGINAL Red bucket seat interior! Whether you prefer the classic elegance of the contrasting White hardtop or the wind-in-your-hair excitement of open-air motoring, this beautiful Thunderbird is guaranteed to turn heads everywhere it goes! Under the hood sits the legendary 312 cubic-inch V8 engine, equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor and paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. The 312 V8 was one of Ford's premier performance engines of the era, delivering the unmistakable sound, character, and driving enjoyment that made these early Thunderbirds so special. Add in desirable power steering and power brakes, and you have a classic that combines authentic 1950s motoring with the convenience and driving comfort today's enthusiasts appreciate. One of the particularly attractive features of this Thunderbird is its beautiful ORIGINAL Red interior! The classic bucket seats, gorgeous dashboard, vintage instrumentation, and elegant interior appointments transport you straight back to an era when automobiles were built with tremendous style and personality. Unlike so many classics that have been extensively modified or completely reinvented, this Thunderbird retains the wonderful period-correct appearance that collectors and enthusiasts truly appreciate. For additional comfort, this Thunderbird has been upgraded with Vintage Air conditioning, allowing you to enjoy the charm of a 1950s classic with a modern convenience that makes cruising on warmer days much more enjoyable. Combined with the automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes, this is a Thunderbird that was meant to be driven and enjoyed! The exterior presentation is simply outstanding! The brilliant Red finish is beautifully complemented by the gleaming chrome, signature rear fender skirts, iconic Continental-style spare tire treatment, and unmistakable styling that made the 1957 Thunderbird an instant American classic. Completing the look are the highly desirable Kelsey Hayes wire wheels wrapped in beautiful wide whitewall tires! This combination is about as classic and elegant as it gets and gives this Thunderbird the unmistakable appearance of a true 1950s luxury sports car. Another special aspect of this particular Thunderbird is its history! This car was SOLD NEW at Dill Austin Ford in Miami, Florida, providing an interesting connection to the Sunshine State. Accompanying the car are its original owner's manual and a copy of the original window sticker, wonderful pieces of historical documentation that add to the ownership experience and help preserve the story of this remarkable automobile. The 1957 Thunderbird marked the end of an extraordinary chapter in Ford history. Beginning in 1958, the Thunderbird would transition into a larger four-passenger personal luxury automobile, making the 1957 model the final year of the original two-seat design. That distinction, along with its refined styling and timeless appeal, has made the '57 Thunderbird a favorite among collectors for generations! Imagine cruising along the coast on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, top down, the 312 V8 rumbling beneath the hood, the sunshine reflecting off the chrome, and the unmistakable silhouette of a 1957 Thunderbird turning heads at every stoplight! This is what owning a classic American automobile is all about! Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
