1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie - Onyx Black, Fuel injected 283/283hp,Frame Off Restoration Widely regarded as one of the most important Corvettes ever built, the 1957 model year marked the debut of both factory fuel injection and the 4-speed manual transmission, transforming Chevrolet’s fiberglass sports car into a genuine performance contender. With its groundbreaking technology, distinctive styling, and very limited production of true “Fuelies,” a well-restored example represents one of the most desirable early Corvettes in existence. This stunning 1957 Corvette checks all the right boxes, combining exceptional provenance, period-correct details, and a quality body-off restoration. The frame-off restoration returned this Corvette to show-quality standards with the attention to detail expected of such a milestone car. Finished in the classic combination of Onyx Black with Silver coves, complemented by a Black soft top and a striking Red interior—an iconic and highly desirable color combination for a ’57. Under the hood sits the fuel-injected 283/283 HP V-8, equipped with its correct Rochester fuel injection unit (Part No. 7014800, Serial No. 1530). The engine bay features proper finned valve covers, tidy detailing, and correct hardware throughout. Power is delivered through a 4-speed manual transmission, making this one of the most sought-after drivetrain configurations of the era. Additional features include: Wonderbar pushbutton radio, Chrome bumpers and brightwork, Dual exhaust, Full-size spinner wheel covers and Wide whitewall tires. A beautifully restored, fuel-injected, 4-speed 1957 Corvette represents one of the ultimate early-C1 collectibles. This example’s striking presentation, correct mechanical components, and high-quality restoration make it a standout car ready for shows, touring, or an exceptional private collection. -
