One owner original 1956 VW Spare Tire Tool Kit Vintage 1956 VW-Hazet Spare Tire Tool Kit It comes complete with all of the tools and the blue felt liner. All the metal tool holding clips are tight. This is a one owner tool box. Came new in the 1956 VW. Beginning around 1950, Hazet (the producer of many of the individual 356 tool kit items) began producing a tool kit that was round in shape and fit onto the spare tire in the trunk of Volkswagen Beetle, Porsche 356, and other cars. There are two main varieties of this so-called "round box" toolkit: one has the VW symbol embossed on the cover; the other has a Hazet logo with name "tourist" beneath. Knowledgeable tool enthusiast that the VW version was marketed through the VW dealer system, while the Tourist version was available through normal Hazet channels. $3000.00
