"This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is a well-presented coupe with a show-worthy correct two-tone, a classic V8 engine bay, and an inviting interior. It makes for an attractive package on an already irresistible Tri-Five hardtop.
The Bel Air was recently updated with power front disc brakes, new master cylinder, new booster and freshly rebuilt front suspension including springs, bushings and shock absorbers. Fully restored, you can tell it was commissioned by those who care. Neptune Green is the hardtop's factory-correct color combo. The secondary color was changed from Shoreline Beige to India Ivory, and we couldn't agree more with the upgrade. It gives you that bright white radiance that lets this high-quality car command the attention it deserves. Plus, white always looks terrific against whitewall tires. A lot of extra care was taken in giving the panels an excellent fit and finish. The brightwork is key on a tri-five Chevy cruiser, and investment kept them complete and bright. The iconic trim divides the two-tone, and the wraparound bumpers, wide grille, and jet-inspired hood ornament all have a mirror-like appearance of a well-prepared classic. It really is a beautifully detailed presentation, right down to the fender skirts.
The factory-correct green and beige are inside, and it makes for a tasteful style. Like the exterior, the restoration was all about getting the vintage vibe right. You see it in places like the bench seats that have the '50s-style look right down to the cloth inserts. A smooth double-hump dash, taut headliner, nice door panels, and plush carpeting all make this very inviting. The heater keeps you warm on those early mornings when you want to be first at the car show. You'll even appreciate the little details, like the clear gauges, working dome light, and AM radio is still cranking tunes. This hardtop is pure rolling nostalgia.
Under the hood is a vintage-style setup with the big air grabber and Chevrolet script valve covers. In fact, this 265 cubic-inch V8 is the year-correct block. That's important because the 1955 Chevy was the car that launched the small block legend, and a VC-code Bel Air had one right from the factory. As classic as this one is, the restoration was also about making sure it remains a quality cruiser. So when you look at the undercarriage, you not only see clean components, but these fresh pieces give you true driving confidence. And the strong-running V8, Powerglide automatic transmission, and a modern tread behind the classic whitewalls make it an easy cruiser.
This car needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed.

Laguna Classic Cars & Automotive Art is the creation of Andy and Beth Coyle, long-time Laguna residents. Andy began his career in the auto business by giving tours at the Ford River Rouge manufacturing complex in Dearborn Michigan before working in the Lincoln Mercury Division in sales and marketing positions. After being transferred to southern California, Andy went on to a successful career managing and owning car and RV dealerships. Andy also competed and won in several auto racing organizations including SCCA Cal Club, International Road Racing Association, and NASCAR Winston West series and NASCAR Super Late Model series. Some of the tracks he has competed on include Riverside Raceway, Rockingham Speedway, Irwindale, Mid America Raceway, Sears Point, Monroe Washington Fairgrounds, and Tucson Raceway Park. Since moving to Southern California over 30 years ago Andy knew that Laguna Canyon was the ideal location for selling interesting cars and auto related art. Laguna Beach, and especially Laguna Canyon, is home to many car enthusiasts, collectors and craftsman. Laguna is also world known for its exceptional natural beauty and thriving art culture. Laguna Classic Cars & Automotive Art will be at the cross roads of the art and classic car cultures.
