Unique Classic Cars
2015 Bassett Drive
Mankato, MN 56001
"1954 Ford Ranch Wagon, restored and customized. This street-rodded classic combines vintage aesthetics with modern upgrades with attention to detail. Under the hood, it houses a 350 small-block Chevrolet engine dressed nicely with chrome and brightwork, paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission featuring overdrive. A Tangerine candy paint finish complemented by a cashmere interior, chrome five-spoke wheels, and carefully shaved door handles that enhance the vehicle's sleek profile. The restoration was a complete frame-off rotisserie, leaving the car's panels straight and paint with a great shine. Unique modifications include the removal of factory rock guards and two inches taken off the roof above the drip rail, which visually lowers the car and contributes to its streamlined look. The vehicle is equipped with modern conveniences such as power steering, power brakes (disc brakes in the front), air conditioning that blows cold, tinted side glass, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo system. The interior features a cashmere door panel, front bucket seats and custom center console with cupholders, a Studebaker steering wheel, and a foldable rear bench seat. The car includes power-adjustable bucket seats, power windows, and vintage AC controls blowing cold AC, blending comfort with classic style. The video highlights clever functionality, such as a hidden mechanical entry point in case of battery failure or locked keys inside, and a battery concealed in a cooler-style compartment in the rear. On the road, the car demonstrates smooth handling, responsive steering, and performance, reflecting the quality of its restoration. The cruise control works effectively, and the exhaust emits a pleasing, throaty sound. Two keyfobs included with door poppers.
