"This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is the 2,044th of 3,640 examples produced for the model year and is said to have been kept in a museum for the past four decades. The car is powered by a 235ci ""Blue Flame"" inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and is finished in white over red vinyl. Features include 15"" red-finished steel wheels with faux knock-off spinners as well as a beige soft top, a curved windshield, clip-on side curtains, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rear-view mirror.
The car is finished in white and features a beige convertible top, a curved windshield, a chrome grille, a driver-side rearview mirror, clip-on side curtains with Plexi-glass windows as well as Chevrolet fender badging, a three-piece rear bumper, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. Paint cracks and additional imperfections around the car are shown in the gallery.
Red-finished 15"" steel wheels feature polished covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with an older set of 6.70-15 Bedford whitewall tires. The C1 was equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension, front and rear hydraulic shocks, and a live rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. The rear axle rebound straps are broken. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The bucket seats are faired into the rear bodywork and are trimmed in red vinyl, and they are complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Interior appointments include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, an AM radio, an analog clock, a floor-mounted shifter, and polished door sills. The dashboard has cracks and the carpeting is worn.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 140-mph speedometer. A central 5k-rpm tachometer is flanked by gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 65 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 235ci ""Blue Flame"" inline-six was factory equipped with three Carter YH side-draft carburetors. The seller states that the oil was changed and a tune-up was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Rust is present on underside components and there are perforations in the exhaust system. Additional underside photos are shown in the gallery.
