This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is the 2,867th of 3,640 examples produced for the model year and was restored in the early 2000s. It is powered by a 235ci “Blue Flame” inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Finished in Polo White over red vinyl, the car is equipped with 15” red-finished steel wheels with faux knock-off spinners as well as a beige soft top. This C1 Corvette is now offered in Portland, Oregon with a clean and clear Washington title.
The car was refinished in Polo White during the restoration and is equipped with a beige soft top, a date-coded windshield, and clip-on side curtains with Plexi-glass windows.
Red-finished 15” steel wheels feature polished covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The C1 was equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension, front and rear hydraulic shocks, and a live rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl, with matching red carpet in the correct pattern. Interior appointments include a heater, courtesy lights, a floor-mounted shifter, and polished door sills. The radio and clock do not work.
The 235ci “Blue Flame” inline-six was factory equipped with three Carter YH side-draft carburetors. All of the stampings and number tags are consistent for a 1954 Corvette.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car starts readily and runs and drives beautifully with no issues.
