1953 Studebaker Commander – 232.6ci V8 – 3-Speed Manual
This beautiful 1953 Studebaker Commander is a nicely restored example finished in its original Tahitian Coral color, complemented by a contrasting cream-colored roof. The paint presents exceptionally well with a beautiful shine, while the chrome bumpers, trim, and brightwork are all in excellent condition. The classic styling is further complemented by wide whitewall tires and polished hubcaps, giving this Studebaker a stunning 1950s appearance.
Under the hood sits the 232.6ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The car retains its original-style mechanical setup and runs and drives just as nicely as it looks. The engine compartment is very clean and nicely detailed, reflecting the overall quality of the restoration.
Inside, the beautiful saddle brown interior features nicely upholstered seating, matching door panels, carpeting, and an attractive original-style dashboard. The interior presents exceptionally well throughout and maintains the classic character of this vintage Studebaker. The odometer currently displays approximately 30k miles.
The trunk compartment is also nicely finished and includes the original spare tire. The underbody presents as solid and well-maintained, with typical surface oxidation visible in some areas.
Overall, this 1953 Studebaker Commander is a beautiful, well-restored classic that shows extremely well inside and out. With its gorgeous Tahitian Coral finish, desirable V8 engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and excellent overall presentation, this is a fantastic example of one of Studebaker's most distinctive designs. A great-running and driving classic that's ready to be enjoyed!
