1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner Convertible
In 1953 Ford provided the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 and it was driven by William Clay Ford, accompanied by multiple Indy 500 winner Wilbur Shaw. At the post-race banquet, the race winner Bill Vukovich was awarded a Pace Car replica and the original Pace Car went to the Henry Ford Museum. There were 2,001 Pace Cars built, supposedly one for each Ford dealer at that time.
This rare 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner Convertible, although not one of the original replica pace cars, has the same special trim identified by the \'Coronado\' Continental trunk kit.
A Full frame off restoration was completed in March of 2005. In brilliant red with a black and white interior it will stand out at any show or cruise-in. The undercarriage is clean and was powder coated when restored.

Minor paint imperfections make it not a 10 Point vehicle but if you are looking for a turn-key car that you can immediately show and go this is the one for you.
