Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this 1950 Ford F1.
This classic pickup stands out immediately thanks to its one-of-a-kind custom paint, blending copper pearl with root beer pearl to create a rich, deep finish that changes beautifully with the light. Fresh chrome accents frame the truck from every angle, enhancing the timeless Ford styling while giving it a sharp, show-ready presence. Inside, the black vinyl interior keeps things clean, comfortable, and true to the truck's vintage roots.
Under the hood sits a Chevrolet crate 350 CID V8, a well-known platform for its reliability, strong torque, and easy serviceability. Paired with a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission, this drivetrain delivers smooth, confident acceleration and relaxed cruising, making the truck enjoyable both around town and on the highway. An Edelbrock intake manifold combined with a 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor improves airflow and throttle response, helping the engine run efficiently while delivering classic V8 performance and sound.
The driving experience has been significantly enhanced with a Mustang II front suspension conversion. This upgrade improves steering precision, ride quality, and overall handling compared to the original setup, giving the truck a more modern and predictable feel on the road. Out back, a Ford 8-inch rear end with a 4-link suspension provides improved traction and stability, especially under acceleration, while also increasing durability for long-term driving enjoyment.
The bed of the truck is finished with a beautifully crafted oak wood floor in a natural finish, adding a warm, handcrafted touch that contrasts nicely with the bold exterior color. This 1950 Ford F1 brings together classic truck styling, thoughtful performance upgrades, and a standout custom finish, making it a well-rounded build that's as enjoyable to drive as it is to admire.
