Power comes from Ford's legendary 239 CID Flathead V8, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, delivering an authentic and engaging driving experience true to the era. This example benefits from thoughtful, period-correct upgrades including original Fenton cast headers, Offenhauser heads, and a ¾ race cam, enhancing both performance and character. Additional upgrades include a Pertronix ignition and an alternator styled to resemble the original generator, maintaining a factory-correct appearance while improving reliability. Notably, the car remains 6-volt and starts effortlessly with just a touch of the button.
This Custom Deluxe Convertible was restored approximately 40 years ago and has been lovingly owned by the current owner for the past 35 years. Throughout that time, it has been stored exclusively in a heated and air-conditioned garage, reflecting the care and preservation it has received. The suspension has been tastefully lowered using 2-inch drop front axles with the rear lowered accordingly, giving the car a subtle, classic stance. It rides on red-painted steel wheels fitted with 1957 Cadillac wheel covers with bullet centers, wrapped in Coker wide white radial tires. Included with the sale are the original hubcaps, bumperettes, and hood ornament.
Inside, the red vinyl interior offers a comfortable and stylish environment that complements the exterior beautifully. An automatic convertible top allows for effortless open-air cruising, while the addition of seatbelts provides a thoughtful touch of safety not commonly found in vehicles of this vintage.
