1950 Crosley CD Super Panel Wagon Finished in Yellow over Green Vinyl Seating Powered by a 724 cc inline-four paired to a 3-speed manual transmission his 1950 Crosley Panel Wagon is a rare commercial-bodied example. Produced as part of Crosley?s postwar CD-series lineup, the Panel Wagon variant featured enclosed steel cargo panels in place of rear side glass and was marketed as an economical delivery and utility vehicle. The body has been refinished in bright yellow and features chrome bumpers, painted steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, dual windshield wipers, and Crosley script badging. The compact proportions and distinctive styling make the car a standout among postwar American microcars. Power is provided by a later cast-iron Crosley inline-four equipped with a single carburetor and an upgraded inline fuel filter. The engine bay retains its period-correct layout, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The cabin features a simple painted dashboard, black seating surfaces, and cargo space behind the front bench. Instrumentation includes a centrally mounted speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The firewall-mounted serial plate shows chassis number CD204015. Crosley vehicles have developed a cult following for their innovative engineering, lightweight construction, and distinctive styling, and true Panel Wagon examples are considerably rarer than passenger models. This example presents well as a quirky collector piece, promotional vehicle, or vintage advertising display car.
