Here is an Ultra Rare opportunity. If you had one of these in the 1940’s you had the Cadillac of trucks. This is one of only 7000 201 Diamond T trucks made some 77 years ago. From 1938–1949 these 201’s were made. Diamond T was known for their large industrial trucks. The 201 was the smallest truck they produced yet was rated as a “ One Ton “. This Diamond T 201 is a very nice example. It comes with all 5 original Hubcaps. Sets of these hubcaps sell for $3000 or more, if you can even find them. All the lights and gauges work, except the fuel gauge. A beautiful unique feature of these 201’s is that the driver and the passenger can crank out the windshields individually, very practical and stylish. The body is very nice, no rot or rust through, built like a tank. Diamond T did not build their engines, they came with an inline-Flathead six cylinder Hercules QX engine. This truck has an inline Chevrolet 292 six cylinder overhead valve engine, very easy to find parts if you ever needed them. The truck runs great!!! The original four-speed transmission shifts as it should. Brakes are great and stop the truck straight, the clutch is fairly new. The truck runs and drives exactly as it should, and gets a lot of attention, it’s gorgeous.
