"1948 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible Woody. Mint green paint with real wood exterior panels. Under the hood an inline L-head 8-cylinder engine with a displacement of 323.5 cubic inches, coupled with a Fluid Drive transmission-featuring a column shifter, and a clutch but allows stopping without clutch use. The transmission's unique shifting pattern involves pushing the lever up or down, either toward or away from the driver, to access reverse, low, or high gears. The exterior boasts well-maintained chrome brightwork, and rides on wide whitewall Firestone bias ply tires, with chrome wheel covers. The wood trim stands out notably, with a mixture of real wood and a darker faux wood section. The overall paint condition is great, with only minor imperfections typical of a car of this vintage. Inside, a recently restored interior in a sophisticated burgundy and beige color scheme, with high-quality upholstery reminiscent of leather and premium fabric. The power soft top operates smoothly, a remarkable feature for a 1948 model, and fits tightly with heavy-duty fabric and glass windows. Brakes were recently serviced with new wheel cylinders. Featuring its original negative ground 6V electrical system. Important components like gauges (oil pressure, fuel level, temperature, and amps) function properly, though the original radio doesn't produce sound. The convertible top mechanism, powered electrically, operates efficiently with a clean fit when raised or lowered. Minor issues include slightly weak trunk struts and some minor wear on the seats. On the road, quiet and smooth running, comfortable and a very original feel, easy to drive fluid drive transmission, functional gauges and horn.
