1941 Chevrolet - Custom Town Sedan The famous 1941 "John Byers" Chevy Town Sedan Custom. A true rolling work of automotive art. This is a rare opportunity to own a car built by a legend in the auto world. The Chevrolet Town Sedan is a true masterpiece of automative rolling art. The body work is all lead NO fiberglass on this beauty. Almost every custom trick has been used from Frenching the headlights, nosed, decked, smoothed front and rear fenders. A full chopped top, rounded doors and trunk lid just to name a few. Take a close look at the door pillars when stock they would be straight they have a sweeping forward curve...beautiful! The'41 has late model flush mounted door handles. This custom has smooth body lines like no other '41. A custom two piece gille all handmade. A custom rear fender mount gas door conceals the gas cap and the trunk pull cable. All the side trim has been removed and front and rear bumpers have been painted. Keeping to the full custom feel chrome steel wheels and moon center caps add that timelss look. The metallic blue paint has the slight hint of aqua green. The '41 is built for comfort and cruising. Front and rear bench seats are done in a light tweed upholstery. The front seat are a custom design with a bucket seat look and feel. They are very comfortable, easy to clean and maintain. The grey vinyl dash keeping to a flowing design through the doors panels front and rear. The headliner has a molded design with a center grey vinyl strip. A full set of Stewart Warner Wings gauges combines the classic look of the 1940s as the perfect complement. The AC controls are under dash keeping to a clean look. Note unable to test the AC needs a R12 recharge. The center console houses the stereo, air ride manual controls, and power window switches. The tilt steering column makes for a perfect fit. The chassis is designed for a full air ride (front and rear) with an on-board air compressor trunk mounted. Stopping power comes from Wilwood power front disc brakes and rear drums. Power to the ground is thanks to a GM 10 bolt rear. The power steering and a Mustang II rack makes parking and driving a dream. Power is a Chevy 350ci with 350HP matched to a TB350 with overdrive. Great sound comes from the 2.5" dual exhaust. This is a one-off build showstopper. A masterpiece of exceedingly high level of craftsmanship built by John Byers.
