Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this classic 1941 Chevrolet AK series truck. This '41 is a real head-turner that's sure to be the center of attention wherever it goes! Bright lip-stick red paint (in good driver quality condition), gleaming chrome, and art-deco styling make this truck stand out in a crowd. Up front is an angular split bi-fold hood flanked by bulbous fenders topped with round headlights in bright bezels. In the center are a horizontal chrome grille above a wider vertical chrome grille – both in very good condition. Mounted to the chrome front bumper is a set of amber Chevrolet fog lights that seem to be wired up, but do not operate. A black painted spear with a grey centerline follows the upper body line down the hood, across the doors, and loops all the way around the cab to the other side, providing a nice accent to all the red. The split windshield features a chrome divider bar, a new seal, and it cranks out from the bottom to allow airflow into the cab. Ahead of the windshield is a working cowl vent that also funnels air inside the truck and above the windshield is a single wiper that is currently inoperative. Both sides of the hood have vents that are accented with bright trim strips and both sides of the truck sport round chrome side mirrors, chrome door handles, and bright Chevrolet step-plates on the running boards. On the passenger side of the cab you'll find the gas fill with a chrome cap. Adding to the vintage charm of this beautiful truck are custom wood bed side rails with a ""Phillips 66"" sign and slogan. The finishing touch to the side view are red painted steel wheels with ""Chevrolet"" moon caps and beauty rings all wrapped in wide white-wall bias-ply tires from Firestone – a visually stunning combination. Around back is a very clean bed with black stained wood and black painted dividers on the floor. The tailgate has hook and chain closures with black vinyl chain covers. On the back of the tailgate is a script ""Chevrolet"" painted in black. Finishing the rear are a chrome bumper and dual flared chrome exhaust tips with Chevy Bowties on them.
Lift either bi-fold hood door to reveal a very presentable engine bay dressed in black. At the center is a 3.5 liter 216ci inline 6-cylinder (92hp from factory) that we believe to likely be original to the truck. The grey block is topped with a grey valve cover with a ""Thriftmaster"" decal. This Chevy still operates on a 6-volt system and was recently outfitted with a new battery. While under the hood you'll see a single-barrel carburetor topped with an AC air filter, a Delco-Remy generator (likely original), and a Delco-Remy starter (also likely original). The 6-cylinder is mated up to a 3-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Exhaust flows through a cast manifold and Magnaflow mufflers before exiting the tips with a pleasing sound. Stopping power comes courtesy of 4-wheel manual drum brakes and steering is manual as well. Take a peek underneath the truck and find a clean black painted frame and leaf-spring suspension on all four corners.
When you open the drivers door you're greeted by a good-looking but spartan original-style interior done in tan and brown. The tan steel doors are simplistic with only handles and window cranks (both windows roll up and down with ease). A brown vinyl bench seat in good condiition welcomes you inside for a cruise. The walls and dash are tan steel that matches the doors, while overhead is a darker tan cardboard headliner and a single brown visor for the driver. The black steel floor is topped with an insulation pad and a fitted rubber mat. While looking down you'll see that this truck has a foot-operated start pedal like many vehicles of the era. Rising fron the floor are a shifter for the manual transmission and an emergency brake lever. Ahead of the driver is a tan 3-spoke steering wheel with an inoperative horn button. The steering wheel frames a rectangular gauge cluster with art-deco style. In addition to a 100mph speedometer are gauges for temp, gas, battery, and oil. Below the cluster is a bright trim strip that's duplicated on the passengers side on the glovebox door. Also on the dash are a crank for the windshield, pull knobs for the choke and throttle control, and a tiny ashtray. Under the dash to the drivers left is a switch for a heater box that's located ahead of the passengers legs, but it seems to be inoperable at this time.
If you're looking for a classic truck from the pre-war era that just radiates vintage charm, this should be the end of your search! This beauty has been thoughtfully restored to retain its original style and driveability. This truck is perfect for parades, car shows, cruise-ins, trips to the ice cream shop, drives in the country, or even a night out on the town! Just be prepared to have people gather to look at it wherever it goes! Give our friendly staff today and make this truck your own!

Here at Cruisin Classics, we understand that you have many options when choosing where you purchase your classic, muscle or collector car and we would like to thank you for considering us.
Cruisin Classics has been buying and selling cars for many years.. The majority were your average daily drivers but our passion has always been in muscle cars and hot rods so in 1996, Cruisin Classics built a 56,000 sq.ft. showroom located in Columbus, OH that they still operate out of today. All of our vehicles are hand-picked and selected to ensure they fit our inventory. This facility is now arguably one of the best-stocked collections for sale in the US housing hundreds of unique automobiles all under one roof. We invite you to our facility! There is something for everybody when you come to visit.
After years of serving as central Ohio's premiere classic car dealer at Cruisin Classics Auto Sales, we saw an unfulfilled need that was not being met for our clients. We loved helping match our clients with the classic and American muscle cars of their dreams. But what about after the purchase? We recognized that our clients needed a trusted resource to continue to care for their classic vehicles. It did not sit well with us that our valued clients and their incredible vehicles were being outsourced to, sometimes several, third-party resources for maintenance and performance needs. We also wanted to help the many people that we had met over the years who already owned classic vehicles which were in need of restoration, upgrades, and maintenance. Too often, we were seeing vehicles with so much potential left sitting in garages under covers because their owners did not know who to turn to for such specialized work. It is our goal to offer our clients a truly comprehensive, seamless, and enjoyable classic car ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance to storage. Thus, Cruisin Classics Performance Center was born. We have cherry-picked the most talented, experienced, and passionate team of technicians to offer our clients a true one-stop-shop solution for any and all of their classic car needs. Our honest business model has lasted almost 25 years to date and Cruisin Classics has a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the business.
Outside of the shop, this business has afforded us the opportunity to be actively involved in our community and fulfill our goal of supporting several local and national organizations that hold a special place in our hearts. We are proud sponsors of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, the Columbus USO, Honor Flight, Special Olympics, multiple car clubs, and much more.
In conclusion, 100% customer satisfaction is our main goal. Always has been.. always will be. We would like to invite anyone considering one of our vehicles to come to our beautiful facility to inspect the car in person or send somebody on your behalf.
