"1940 Ford pickup rat rod/street rod. This creation stands out as a highly customized, drivable classic with a clean title and notable mechanical upgrades. The rat rod features a powerful 383 stroker engine paired with a Turbo Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission, making it not only a showpiece but also a roadworthy vehicle. It drove 150 miles to our showroom, underscoring its functionality beyond just aesthetics. The dashboard features a comprehensive gauge cluster showing fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, voltmeter, and an odometer showing just 7,759 miles since the build. Key mechanical highlights include a Ford straight axle up front, a Ford 9-inch rear end, power brakes and power steering, disc brakes on all four corners, headers, HEI ignition, with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. Equipped with exhaust cut-outs, an electric fan, (switchs below the shifter) and a line lock. The vehicle rides on Firestone radial tires and includes airbag suspension that the previous owner runs at approximately 40 PSI. An army chest cleverly houses the battery along with a portable air compressor in the bed. The horn plays various animal sounds, adding a playful element. If you are a Days of Thunder fan you will recognize some of the artwork on this machine. The interior boasts seats taken from a modern Mustang, a tilt steering column with a custom grooved steering wheel, and a bluetooth stereo sound bar is mounted in the headliner area. Additional switches control exhaust cutouts, an electric fan, and a line lock, enhancing the driving experience. The side and rear glass is tinted red. The automatic shift handle is an actual hammer head and is easy to use. The wood bed floor opens on a hinge easily to access the lower rear portion of the truck. This truck offers smooth performance, the low center of gravity benefits its handling, plenty of power, and the fun factor of driving a one-of-a-kind rat rod.
