** 1940 Ford Deluxe with 18,855 actual miles!! ** This amazing Ford has always been loved and cared for. This was what you might call a special Sunday driver for both the 1st and 2nd owners. The 3rd owner had the car lightly restored as needed for car show display, but was careful to retain many of the original features that were nice (including the original paint underneath the car). We acquired the car from the 4th owner, who wasn't driving it as often to car shows as he would like, and therefore made the decision it was time to re-home it. And yes!! Those are actual miles!! Documented on the title!! Perhaps the lowest mile 1940 Ford in existence?? Almost new looking and driving 84 year old car!! Features/options: Original sticker price: $955.00 Engine: 221ci Flathead V8 Transmission: 3 speed manual Wide white wall radial tires Directional signals Auxiliary electric fuel pump Electronic Ignition (replaces points) Dual Exhaust Electrical system: 12 volts Production figure for this model: 91,756 Wheelbase: 112 inches Fuel economy: 17 mpg 0-60 mph: 16 seconds Top speed: 85 mph Weight: 2,970 lbs Overall Length: 188.3 inches This Ford Deluxe runs and drives well, makes good power, and is very reliable to drive. When you start this car up cold, it will run all on its own at a low idle smoothly without needing to warm up first. Even if it has been weeks since last start up! The only thing you will hear is the subtle rumble of the dual exhaust. The engine runs whisper quiet like a sewing machine. The transmission is easy to shift at all speeds and the car tracks very straight down the road. All working lights and gauges (yes even the gas gauge is accurate). She has been serviced well through the years. Dont think because its such a low mileage car that you cant drive it. Quite the contrary! ! This is a car you can get in drive right away and have some fun with. This car likes to be DRIVEN!
