A TIMELESS HOT ROD, REIMAGINED FOR MODERN PERFORMANCE
This striking 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe showcases the perfect blend of traditional styling and contemporary hot rod engineering. Built from the ground up with 27 custom body modifications, it features a commanding stance and a deep black finish that highlights the flowing pre-war Ford lines. The all-metal body presents beautifully, and the craftsmanship throughout the build is immediately evident.
Power comes from a strong 347ci Stroker V8 producing an impressive 430 horsepower, breathing through Air Flow Research aluminum heads and a K&N reusable air filter. A performance-built C4 automatic transmission with a B&M Quicksilver floor shifter delivers crisp, responsive gear changes, making the car equally suited for cruising or spirited acceleration.
The mechanicals were designed for confident, enjoyable driving. Mustang rack-and-pinion steering—paired with power steering—gives the car a precise, modern feel on the road. Suspension consists of Heidt’s front shocks and Monroe rear shocks, offering stability and comfort, while Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes provide strong, predictable stopping power.
Inside, the hot rod incorporates several comfort and convenience upgrades, including A/C, tinted power windows, and a power-adjustable driver seat, enhancing long-distance drivability. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit feeds 9-inch Pioneer speakers, bringing modern audio performance into a classic cabin. The tilt steering wheel adds ergonomic flexibility, rounding out an interior that’s both functional and driver-focused.
Underneath, a stainless-steel exhaust system produces a deep, clean hot-rod tone, while the stainless 15-gallon fuel tank supports highway cruising. Although minor stress cracks have developed since the build was completed seven years ago, the overall presentation remains outstanding—both show-worthy and road-ready.
A unique, documented, and finely crafted build—ready for its next caretaker.
