This 1940 Chevrolet Pickup is a beautifully executed custom that blends prewar Chevrolet styling with carefully selected modern upgrades. The truck underwent a comprehensive frame-off restoration approximately 11 years ago and has traveled just about 1,000 miles since completion, remaining in impressive condition throughout.
Power is provided by a Chevrolet 350ci crate engine rated at 300 horsepower, paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a Ford 8-inch rear end for reliable performance and highway-friendly cruising. The stance and drivability are enhanced by a Heidts Mustang II front end featuring A-arm suspension and power rack-and-pinion steering, complemented by four-wheel power disc brakes for confident stopping power.
The lightly chopped roof gives the truck a refined, aggressive profile, while the two-tone finish—Kandy Root Beer over Fine Shimrin Mist Gold—accentuates the truck’s classic curves and body lines. Chrome, trim, grille, and bumpers present extremely well, reflecting the high level of craftsmanship throughout.
Inside, the custom tan leather interior offers a clean, tasteful environment with a power driver’s seat, tilt steering wheel, and a Bluetooth-equipped AM/FM stereo discreetly hidden in the glove box. Air conditioning is installed and will simply require charging to be fully operational. The wood bed completes the presentation with a period-correct finishing touch.
As a multiple award-winning build, this 1940 Chevrolet Pickup stands out as a thoughtfully finished custom—one that looks right, drives right, and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
