Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully built 1937 Chevrolet Pickup, a professionally upgraded street rod that combines classic pre-war Chevrolet styling with modern performance, suspension, fuel injection, electrical systems, and custom craftsmanship. Finished in a sinister satin black, this pickup has an aggressive stance and a long list of upgrades that make it as impressive underneath as it is on the outside.
The exterior immediately catches your attention with its satin black finish, classic 1937 Chevrolet truck body, sweeping front fenders, tall grille, and custom stance. The combination of the traditional body lines and modernized chassis gives this pickup a purposeful street-rod appearance without losing the character that makes a '37 Chevy so desirable.
Power comes from a 350ci Small Block Chevrolet V8, equipped with an Edelbrock black intake and Edelbrock Classic valve covers. Fuel delivery has been thoroughly modernized with a Holley Terminator X Stealth 4150 EFI system, while a Holley Sniper EFI Hyperspark ignition system, coil, and distributor provide modern electronic ignition control.
The fuel system continues with a Holley Sniper EFI universal fuel tank and pump, along with a Holley EFI filter/regulator. This combination gives the truck modern fuel-injection technology and drivability while retaining the unmistakable character of a small-block Chevy V8.
Behind the 350 is a TH350 automatic transmission, providing a proven and straightforward drivetrain that's ideal for cruising. Exhaust gases exit through shorty headers into a custom stainless-steel exhaust system equipped with stainless Flowmaster mufflers, giving this pickup an appropriately aggressive V8 sound.
The chassis has received a substantial upgrade as well. A Heidts Mustang II independent front suspension system provides modern suspension geometry, while coilovers and front disc brakes improve both handling and stopping performance. The result is a street rod that has been built to be driven rather than simply displayed.
Electrical reliability has also been addressed with a Painless 21-circuit universal wiring harness, providing a modern foundation for the truck's electrical systems. Steering has been upgraded with an Ididit universal tilt steering column, while the instrument cluster features Speedhut Revolution gauges and clock, combining modern functionality with a custom appearance.
Inside, the cabin has been extensively upgraded. A custom seat and new interior components give the truck a comfortable and finished appearance, while a new headliner adds to the overall presentation. Dynamat sound deadening and carpet insulation help reduce road noise and heat, making this classic pickup substantially more comfortable to drive.
The attention to detail continues throughout the body and glass. The truck features new door and window gaskets along with new front and rear window glass, helping give the finished build a clean appearance while improving weather sealing. All-new gaskets throughout the build further demonstrate the level of attention that went into the restoration and customization.
Perhaps one of the most eye-catching features is the custom walnut wood bed, which has been beautifully finished and incorporates a tilt-up design for additional functionality. Custom rubber running board mats complement the exterior while adding durability and practicality.
This 1937 Chevrolet is much more than an engine swap and a paint job. The extensive list of upgrades-from the EFI system and modern ignition to the independent front suspension, disc brakes, custom wiring, stainless exhaust, upgraded interior, new glass, and custom wood bed-shows a build designed around both appearance and drivability.
Whether you're looking for a serious street rod, a show-quality vintage pickup, or a classic Chevrolet that you can actually enjoy on the road, this 1937 Chevrolet Pickup is an impressive package. The combination of satin black styling, 350ci Chevy V8 power, modern EFI, TH350 automatic transmission, Heidts IFS, custom interior, and walnut bed gives this truck an unmistakable presence and a thoroughly modernized driving experience.
