*1936 Plymouth P1 5-Window Business Coupe*This Plymouth P1 really does a remarkable job of showing how even fairly ordinary cars in the pre-war era, were built to a higher standard. With striking two-tone paint, chrome bumpers and grille, and a watch-like speedometer with integrated auxiliary dials, this Plymouth feels truly special and unique, without having to dish out a ton of money to get behind the wheel. This 1936 5-window Business Coupe was treated to a frame off restoration to stock configuration in the 2010s and remains in excellent condition throughout. Finished in two-tone Dark Olive Metallic with Black fenders, the car looks exceptionally dignified, sitting on a set of 10-spoke wheels with chrome hub caps, beauty rings and wide white wall tires. The tall waterfall grille is complimented by a nice chrome bumper in front, and on the side, textured rubber running boards. The interior features front and rear bench seats wrapped in tan mohair, with door cards finished in the same fabric. Trimming the cabin is painted wood grain on the steering wheel, dashboard, and inner window surrounds which give the interior a uniquely high-quality feel. Sitting in the center of the dashboard sits a large 100 mph speedometer with an integrated oil temperature, water temperature and amp-meter.Under the hood sits a 201 cubic inch inline-6 that breathes through a 1bbl Carter carburetor. With a flathead design, this was a fairly early use of the inline 6 in the Plymouth line, and rated at 82 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. What was unique about this engine was that it offered a smooth, quiet driving experience and that remains today, as it still runs incredibly well. Power is then sent to the rear wheels via a 3-speed manual gearbox. Within the last two years, all of the wiring in the car was gone through to ensure that the car drives well and everything works as intended. If you want a classic that will draw attention everywhere you drive, this Plymouth certainly checks that box. With its fairly recent restoration and excellent mechanical upkeep, this represents a ton of style and uniqueness, for a very reasonable price.*Key Features* * Body-Off Restoration in 2010s * 201ci Flathead Inline-6 * 82 Horsepower/145 Lb-Ft of Torque * 3-Speed Manual Gearbox * 10-Spoke Wheels w/Chrome Hubcaps and Beauty Rings * Pop-Out Windscreen * Stunning Two-Tone Paint * Dark Olive Metallic/Black * Ecru Mohair Interior * Wood Grain Interior Trim * Heater * New Wiring Within Last Two YearsFor more information on this 1936 Plymouth P1 5-Window Business Coupe or any of our 150+ High-Performance, Exotic, Luxury, and Special Interest Cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants or feel free to drop by our 40,000+ sq ft of Indoor Showrooms in Bellevue, WA - Home of an Exciting Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, High Performance and Collectible Automobiles.
