As the threat of Japanese invasion grew during World War II, the car was carefully relocated and stored in a remote region of Malaysia for protection. After the war, it remained in Singapore before passing to another Australian owner and eventually to an American businessman. When his career brought him back to the United States—and later to Korea—the Jaguar was once again preserved, ultimately benefiting from a comprehensive restoration during his long-term ownership.
Held for 42 years by its American caretaker, the car received a thorough restoration that included its mechanical systems, ensuring both reliability and presentation.
