This modified Ford pickup is offered with service records and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name. The steel bodywork has been repainted yellow under previous ownership. Equipment includes a front bumper sourced from a 1936 Ford passenger car, new black side mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, and a wood-plank bed floor.
The right front fender was straightened, cracks were welded, and body filler was lightly applied before it was repainted under current ownership. There is no windshield wiper arm installed, wiper motor does not work. Paint imperfections have been noted in various pictures.
Chrome 15x6 Cragar five-spoke wheels were mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires and installed under current ownership. A spare is secured to the passenger side of the bed. The suspension has been lowered with a dropped front axle and features front and rear transverse leaf springs. Braking is handled by hydraulic drums at each corner.
Service under current ownership involved flushing the brake fluid and replacing the master cylinder, and all wheel cylinders. A new drag link and tie rod ends were installed. 5 on 5.5 wheel hubs and new bearings have replaced the stock hubs. New front springs and shackles, and new rear shocks and shock mounts with limiting straps installed.
The bench seat is trimmed in white vinyl with yellow piping and accompanied by a matching headliner and door panels. Black carpets line the floors, and appointments include tilt out front windshield, manual-crank windows, a glovebox, a Tribit Bluetooth speaker and a USB charger. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts replacement instrumentation consisting of a column-mounted 8k-rpm tachometer as well as a 140-mph GPS speedometer with gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The replacement digital odometer indicates 501 miles.
A replacement 24-stud 239ci (59A) flathead V8 was installed under previous ownership along with an electric fuel pump. Service under current ownership involved converting the electrical system to 12-volt operation, performing a valve job, and adding a 12 volt chrome alternator, an Offenhauser dual-carburetor intake manifold and Offenhauser 400 cylinder heads in addition to dual Speedway Motors 9 Super 7 carburetors, K&N air cleaners, an electric cooling fan, and an aftermarket electronic distributor and thermostats. Other work included changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and replacing the ignition wires along with the fuel pump and pressure regulator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. The fluids for the transmission and differential were changed under current ownership.
