This 1934 Chevrolet Cabriolet Restomod is a high end street rod that balances classic pre war style with modern engineering. Built on a custom Downs Chassis and finished in Victory Red, the Downs body has been stretched 6 inches for extra cabin room and a lower profile. Under the dual opening hood is a Marine 454 CI big block engine paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a rugged 9 inch Ford rear end.
The car has covered just 7,118 miles since its professional build and comes with full restoration documentation. The chassis is engineered for modern road manners, utilizing a Heidts Mustang II front end with stainless steel control arms and adjustable coilovers on all four corners. It rides on a staggered set of Billet Specialties Rail wheels -17 inch fronts and 20 inch rears- which frame a high performance 4 wheel Wilwood disc brake system with polished calipers. Every piece of brightwork on the car was finished by the specialists at Advance Plating.
For open air driving, the car features a real folding tan canvas top with chrome top bows. The exterior body lines remain clean thanks to shaved handles and magnetic remote doors. Inside, both the cabin and the power trunk are wrapped in custom leather upholstery with matching carpets by Twincity. The dashboard houses Classic Instruments gauges and a polished Ididit tilt column, while modern conveniences include air conditioning, a radio, and power windows.
