Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1931 Chevrolet Independence Series AE Special Sedan. Original CA Car with Stovebolt 194CI OHV Inline 6 Cylinder engine and 3 Speed Manual transmission. Very nice Boulevard Maroon and Black paint over Tan cloth interior in overall excellent condition. In a year that saw its 8 millionth car produced, this Independence Model helped Chevrolet regain the sales lead in 1931. Its cowl lights and side-mount spares identify it as a Special Sedan of which almost 110K were produced that year. This car was restored, repainted and interior renewed about 25 years ago and still presents strongly. It has an exterior rear trunk plus fully chromed headlamps and chromed bumpers. The engine in the car is believed to be original and was restored about 4,200 miles ago. Driven less than 200 miles by current owner who purchased the car in 2020. It starts immediately, idles smoothly and runs very well. Engine bay presents as stock and very clean and the repainted engine is showing some chipping as shown. Paint on the car is very presentable with some minor imperfections. All the body panels on the car are solid and line up nicely. The wire wheels are in great condition and painted in a contrasting shade of cream. Running boards are straight, in great condition and appear to be free of any corrosion. Dual horns located beneath the headlights. Interior seating was restored and the deeply tufted seat present very well and our comfortable with no rips or tears. The door panels are in great condition as is the headliner. Factory instrument include a roller-type speedometer fit into a patterned dashboard insert in overall excellent condition. All of the instruments function properly except the fuel gauge. All of the windows function as they should and all the exterior lighting is functional. Undercarriage of the car is very clean with only the typical minor surface rust evident. Car is Stored in MA with clean title in the owner\'s name.
