1930 FORD MODEL A TUDOR (2-DOOR). This is a 1930 original all metal 2 door Model A that was owned by the same gentleman in South Carolina for over 60 years. I was told when I purchased the car that the engine had been rebuilt once but the body has never been off of its chassis. As you can see from the photos as well as in the YouTube video the paint is in really good condition, I suppose because the car was always kept inside the previous owners garage. I am not a body shop kind of guy but as far as I can tell I believe the paint to be original. Recent maintenance work that was done included a complete grease job, a new leak-less water pump and a radiator flush with new hoses. The original radiator fan blade was replaced with a new aluminum one because I was told that the original blades have a tendency to come apart. The entire ignition circuit was rewired including a replacement keyed ignition switch and new insulated distributor cable. A Nu-Rex ignition distributor plate with Blue Streak points and condenser was installed. I bench tested the original ignition coil and found that the primary circuit was very weak so I replaced the coil with a new Blue Streak coil (not shown in the photos but it is shown in the You Tube video) The carburetor was rebuilt and adjusted. Four new tires, tubes and rubber rim strips were installed (all tires date coded July 2024). I removed the instrument panel speedometer and lubricated it and installed a new speedometer cable. The valves were adjusted and I had the Intake/Exhaust manifold re-surfaced at a local machine shop to assure that there would be absolutely no leaks after I installed it. The car has a brand new Die-Hard battery and battery cables. The starter seemed to be very sluggish so I replaced it along with the Starter Switch that I purchased from Snyders. When I had the cars front end lifted I could feel some play in the King Pins on both sides so I installed new King Pins from Snyders.
