This 1930 Ford Model A pickup underwent a refurbishment and modifications in the style of a hot rod that began in 2015 and was completed following the current owner’s acquisition in 2023. It is powered by a 221ci flathead inline-four that is fitted with a Thomas-style cylinder head, revised camshaft, Stromberg carburetor, and a Borla dual exhaust system. Shifting is through a three-speed manual transmission. The truck is finished in black and has a brown soft top, a wood-lined bed floor, 16″ wire-spoke wheels, Speedway Motors front suspension components, and auxiliary lights. Heating elements have been added to the bench seat, which is trimmed in brown leather and equipped with seat belts.
This modified Model A pickup is offered with a binder containing build records and a Washington title in the owner’s name. The bodywork was finished in black as part of the refurbishment, and a replacement brown soft top and rear window were installed in 2024. The fuel tank is located in the wood-lined cargo bed, and the truck is also equipped with auxiliary lights, dual taillights, and a center-hinged louvered hood.
Wire-spoke 16″ wheels are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. Suspension components from Speedway Motors were used up front, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The bench seat has been equipped with outboard heating elements and modified to accommodate taller drivers. It is fitted with seat belts and trimmed in brown leather that extends to the door panels. A map light and horn are also fitted. Foam is affixed to the bottoms of the doors.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of readouts for water temperature and oil pressure, while a barrel-style speedometer, an ammeter, and a fuel-level gauge are housed in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 761 miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 221ci flathead inline-four was installed in 2017 and fitted with a Thomas-style high-compression cylinder head, a Model B-specification camshaft, an Ansen intake manifold, and a Stromberg carburetor.
The truck is titled by a Washington assigned identification number, and the current Washington title carries an “Antique” notation.
