Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1929 Ford Model A Roadster. An American classic. A bit of history: Falling sales and pleas from his staff finally convinced Henry Ford to retire the Model T in 1927. Workers and factories sat idle for six months while Ford retooled for the replacement car. The new Model A was more mechanically advanced and stylish than its predecessor. It was a hit too, with nearly five million sold over four model years. Inline-4L flathead engine producing 40hp with a 3-speed manual transmission. Zenith 1 carburetor and Ford\'s famous All-Steel body. The present owner of two years has maintained this Model A with pride and care, taking it to car shows only and it\'s always a head turner. Clean title. Undercarriage is amazing with no visible rust at all. Simple but advanced for its time, the Ford Model A boasted a \"spark\" lever on the steering wheel for manual ignition control. Throttle to the right of the spark lever, emergency break next to the shifter and the choke on the passenger side dash area. On the floor, there\'s the clutch, gas, brake and starter button. The radiator and carburetor were replaced last Fall. Odometer is not working. The previous owner claimed there were 50,000-55,000 miles on the car, but this can\'t be substantiated. The amperage gauge does work. The fuel gauge was working until the present owner made a beneficial upgrade to the car. These Model As are notorious for breaking down due to sediment and gunk building up in the gas tanks. There were no fuel pumps back then, so gravity was the natural method used. The current owner had a valve installed to raise the level of gas slightly above the bottom of the tank to avoid this issue. It works great; however, the fuel gauge no longer works properly. There are several areas of the exterior where paint is chipping or lightly cracking which can be seen in some of the photos. The interior seating, dash area and headliner are in very good condition. The owner had purchased a 3-speed synchronized transmission which is sitting in a box in his garage. It is included in the sale. Overall, this Ford Model A Roadster is in very good condition and deserves a look for sure. Located in Wayne, NJ. Call Mike at: 973-768-6426
