The Porsche 356 is a highly collectible sports car that has a history dating back to the late 1940s12. The first 356 was road certified in Austria on June 8, 1948, and was entered in a race in Innsbruck, where it won its class. The original 356 was designed by Ferry Porsche, the son of the founder of the Porsche company, and co-founder of the Austrian manufacturing plant. Porsche re-engineered and refined the car with a focus on performance1.

Greg Stirling lives and creates in San Jose, California. He recently became a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists, and his work has been featured in numerous automotive art auctions. He started creating art in 1980. After going through three decades of self-guided exploration in abstract expressionism, the art of the 20th century, and post-war impressionism, he arrived at the door of realism. To continue his area of study, Greg experimented with new techniques, media as well as innovative processes and concepts. Mr. Stirling is also an engineer, kinetic metal sculptor, and automotive enthusiast.
