"2023 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody
When Stellantis announced the end of production for the modern muscle cars of Dodge, some panic set in and people undoubtedly went looking for a last chance internal combustion powered Charger or Challenger. There's already speculation that as the return on investment for electric vehicles continues to diminish even as strip mining increases, that the muscle car will eventually return with a glorious cavalcade of high horsepower V8's. Until then, preowned vehicles are your best bet to have one of the ""last"" muscle cars produced in the modern century.
For consignment, a barely used 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T with an incredible 143 title verified actual miles. No, we did not leave out a digit, this car has less than 200 miles. Its custom forged 3 pieces wheels in ""death bronze"" are unique and the car also comes with the original factory wheels and tires. Oh, and if you desire to ride with the splitter guard mounted on the splitter, that's also included.
Exterior
Iconic Plum Crazy purple covers this beauty which is further enhanced by 20% ceramic window tint on all the windows. Dodge hit a home run with this vehicle which just looks plain mean, beginning with the headlights, the inner of which double as air intake vents. The gaping lower grille adds more black to the palette followed by the large air splitter. The front facing hood scoop and rear facing hood vents are aggressive and functional. The front windshield has 50% tint, (check your state laws for legality), which contributes to the sinister look of this Challenger. The wide body option box was checked which allows the 315/35ZR20 on custom Rotiform 20"" wheels to fit and the factory tires which are included with your purchase are 305/35R20. The rear spoiler and gas cap are satin black, and the taillight panel is gloss black. A black rear valance houses rectangular chrome exhaust tips and its sculpted edge. Condition wise, it's essentially flawless and as expected, showroom condition.
Interior
Understated black door panels wrapped in leather greet you upon entrance. The front bucket seats are Alcantara and Nappa leather and are robustly bolstered. The angry bee Scat Pack insignia is embroidered into each seat back, a nod to the Scat Pack program of yore. The rear seats are comprised of the same material and feature a pull down armrest, three sets of three point seat belts and two headrests. The fat steering wheel has buttons for cruise control, the radio and digital info center. The gauges are surrounded by carbon fiber and flank that digital screen. A large touchscreen is in the center stack and offers a full media center including AM/FM radio, CD, U-Connect 4C system, Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. There's 4G hotspot and Sirius/XM availability. More carbon surrounds the drive mode controls below the screen where we also find climate controls. The beautifully sculpted stick shift sits low in the console surrounded by a leather boot. The low pile carpet and Alcantra headliner are in excellent condition and the trunk is lined in gray material and molded panels. Having only been driven 143 miles, as you would expect, the condition inside is also like new.
Drivetrain
Dodge's venerable 392ci Hemi V8 is under the hood. Fuel injected of course, and tied to a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear equipped with 3.90 gears and a limited slip differential. Power disc brakes have six piston Brembo calipers and line lock capabilities. Other than some water spots, the engine bay is spotless.
Undercarriage
Insanely clean, the undercarriage does have some road dust and water spots but otherwise things are in fresh from the factory condition. The big dual exhaust bisect a pair of cats, then a pair of mufflers, then exit out the back. The suspension has some unique performance factory options including the Widebody Competition suspension, Adaptive Damping, SRT configurable drive modes, and launch control. MacPherson struts accompany front independent suspension while coil springs find independence in the rear.
Drive-Ability
We weren't about to add a lot of mileage to the odometer, so we took a lap around our loop to make sure the car moves forward, backward, and that all the bells and whistles work. They do, and it's spectacular, and it's the last of a breed.
There's only so much space we have here to wax poetic about this car and haven't covered a tenth of its modern features. Please see the window sticker in the photo set because it itemizes a long list of options and features that make this car a modern marvel of engineering. Whether it's fair or not, Mopars like this show up at car shows, right from the showroom, and take home trophies. Why? We said Dodge hit a home run with this car, but a Grand Slam would be more accurate. Are you ready to take the purple reins?
