Featuring the rare extended-wheelbase, allowing spacious legroom for rear passengers, this XJ8L is powered with the 4.0-liter AJ-V8 engine. In normally aspirated trim, the engine makes 290 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. Standard equipment on the XJ8 includes Automatic Stability Control, speed-sensitive steering, memory seating for the driver, front- and side-impact driver and passenger airbags and a vehicle security system. On the road, the XJ8L offers a superb luxurious ride. There are very few cars that can match the Jag in terms of quietness and comfort. The owners have had this checked by a certified mechanic on multiple occasions. The report is that all systems are functioning properly, it is just a quirk.
