Featured here is a very affordable way to enter into the car collecting hobby. Now we understand when you hear a car described in this manner it might be in reference to a vehicle that may need a little TLC or perhaps lacks the performance of other cars making the vehicle an affordable entry-level vehicle that will satisfy your collector car cravings until you can afford something a little higher quality. While certainly the C4 generation of Corvettes, (that is Corvettes produced from 1984-1996) are very affordable currently, but keep in mind they represent some of the best bang for your buck in the performance car market. The 1992 Chevrolet Corvette featured here is not only well-priced, but as you read through the description and view the photos, you will appreciate just what a great find this car is with some good potential for future collectability.
This car is stunning with its red-on-red color combination. The factory bright red paint has been well cared for by previous ownership, so much so some light polishing and swirl marks are present in the paint, however, the finish shines with a deep luster. The factory 17"" Alloy 8-slot ""sawtooth"" wheels are wrapped with speed-rated BF Goodrich G-Force competition tires and still look current and stylish 32 years later. The removable roof hatch is tinted and securely stores in the rear compartment area when removed for open-air driving.
Inside the red interior features leather upholstered power seats and has been kept up nicely, with only some light wear on the driver's side carpet. The dash features a combination of analog gauges with a center-mounted digital screen. The optional Delco Gold Series sound system features AM/FM with Cassette and CD player and still sounds state of the art playing through the Bose speaker system. Other options include tilt steering, power windows and locks, rear defogger, power hatch release, and air conditioning.
Lifting the clamshell hood reveals the high-revving 350 LT1 V8. This Chevrolet powerplant is factory rated at 300hp at 5000 rpm and 320 ft. lbs. of torque at 3200 rpm. Power is transferred through a manual 6-speed ZF transmission that fully utilizes the extended RPM range of the LT1 motor. The engine compartment has been kept in near-showroom condition and is very clean and still has all the factory decals and assembly markings present.
Underneath it is clear this car has not seen a snowflake ever and frankly very few raindrops either as it is very clean with many of the factory markings still present. This Corvette features power steering, power brakes with four-wheel discs on all four corners, and features ABS braking and traction control.
The C4 Corvettes have been noted to be primed for a steady increase in resale value by market experts, so this car potentially has some investment quality, but let's face it as enthusiasts we truly buy our cars to drive and enjoy. This Corvette checks all the boxes in that department as well with a spirited V8 backed by a manual transmission that is only further enhanced by stellar handling and braking in this generation of Corvettes. Pull the top off to get some sun on your face and wind in your hair and you will see why this car proves money can buy you happiness. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thank you for looking!
