Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale
22275 North 23rd Ave

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present for sale, on consignment, the little truck that could, the 1987 Suzuki Samurai! It all started in the late 60s when Suzuki acquired the Hope Motor Company who introduced the Hope ON360, a small 4x4 truck. Suzuki developed the ON360 into the 1970 LJ10, also known as the Jimny. 1985 marked the first year that Suzuki sold the first 4 wheel drive vehicle in the US, the now iconic, Samurai. This 1987 example comes with a clean CarFax with no accident history. A fresh coat of gray paint was laid down to go along with the gray interior. Recent work, according to the owner includes all new suspension, new soft top, new bimini top, and new tires and wheels. The 1.3 liter 4 cylinder engine and manual transmissoin may not win you any land speed records but this little 4x4 shines in the wilderness thanks to a short wheelbase, manual locking front hubs and low gearing. Other features and options include a CB Radio, Winch with controls both in the cabin and under the hood, Roll Bar, Manual Convertible Top, Seatbelts and Vinyl Interior. There is no denying the following that these little beasts have created since the last one rolled off the assembly line in 1995. This is your chance to pick up a great truck full of potential to get you where you want to be in the great wilderness. Contact our sales staff today to learn all of the details on this truck.

Our Scottsdale showroom is Gateway Classic Cars’ 16th location and opened in September 2017. We are located in Phoenix, Arizona which is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States and our reputation as the ‘Valley of the Sun’ allows for a year-round car season and a perfect environment to preserve vintage automobiles. Scottsdale is known as the home of the famous Barrett Jackson auction that draws thousands of collectors and enthusiasts to the Phoenix area every year. Our large and growing inventory includes plenty of desirable ‘southwest cars’ that have not been exposed to road salt and inclement weather like in many other US locations. We encourage our local car clubs and enthusiasts to come check us out on the last Saturday of every month for our Cars and Coffee event and cruise around our awesome 42,000 square-foot, air conditioned showroom.
