If being unique is your thing, we've got just the Thing to set you apart from the crowd!
This 1973 Volkswagen Thing is a cool 4-seater that can be buttoned up with a full soft top and windows, or completely open with no top, no doors, and the windshield flipped down! Talk about the ultimate open air driving experience.
The VW Thing is essentially a big adult go cart, and it will surely put a smile on your face when you get behind the wheel. The 1,600 CC 4-cylinder engine has just had a full tune up and oil change and it ready to enjoy. The 4-speed manual transmission is fun and acts as a modern day anti-theft device.
The exterior is painted in a two-tone White over Yellow that looks fantastic. Orange accents on the pinstriping, rocker stripes, and wheels really pop and make this Thing one-of-a-kind. With a unique tire carrier on the rear bumper. The interior matches nicely with white vinyl seats, painted dash, and nice black carpet kit that ties into the black convertible top nicely.
Recent work to keep this Thing in tip top shape includes: new tires, new battery, tune up with points, spark plugs, condenser, adjusted carb, valve adjustment, fuel filter, generator belt, intake manifold boots, and timing reset. It also received a new master cylinder, brake shoe adjustment, fresh oil, oil filter/screen.
This VW needs nothing but a new owner to drive it and show it off. Don't hesitate as these don't normally last long on our site!

We often get asked why the name is Survivor Classic Car Services, if not everything we sell is a survivor car. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, we do sell survivor cars when we can find them. At the same time, we can't run a business solely on survivors. There aren't that many out there anymore. Secondly, we donate money each and every month to local charities that help survivors of war, abuse, disease, homelessness, etc. We sell survivors all the way up to full frame-off restored classics that are better than they day they were built.
We also offer pre-purchase inspections and certified appraisals if you're considering buying or selling a vehicle. Learn More Here: Services
