MaxMotive proudly presents this impressive 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Coupe. Impressive because of the passionate effort evident throughout its comprehensive rotisserie refurbishment. The hardware is also impressive, featuring a 440ci V8 engine, Shaker hood, 4-speed manual transmission with Pistol Grip shifter, 8¾ Sure Grip rear axle with 3.55 gears, and front disc brakes, all wrapped in gorgeous B5 Blue metallic paint. Starting with a clean 318 V8 Gran Coupe, the car was completely disassembled down to the unibody. All the original sheetmetal remains intact, but it was put on a rotisserie and stripped to bare metal, then refinished in its original Blue Fire Metallic (B5 Blue) exterior paint. An extra gallon comes with the car to assure a perfect match should the need arise. The 440 engine is a runner. Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Holley 850cfm carb on an Edelbrock Torker 2 intake, a COMP hydraulic roller cam, and TTI ceramic coated headers combine for a calculated 541 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, sent through an A833 4-speed manual transmission to the Sure Grip rear. The entire exhaust system aft of the headers is stainless steel polished to a high luster. An imposing appearance comes courtesy of a Shaker hood and black Hockey Stick stripes proudly proclaiming the presence of royalty beneath the iconic scoop. Sparkling Cragar S/S mags, 15x7 and 15x8, give off a perfect period correct vibe.Other nice details include the original fender mounted turn signals, color keyed dual racing mirrors, and ‘Cuda badging. The theme continues inside. Open the smooth-operating doors to be greeted by black vinyl buckets with the Pistol Grip in between, a wood rim steering wheel, the original AM/FM radio, and a dash-mounted tach. Almost as impressive as the car itself is the included binder documenting the build and service work. It is categorized and includes receipts and instructions from well known manufacturers and vendors. There are also photos to chronicle the process of refurbishing the car to its current high level. This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda excels in performance and appearance. Please be sure to inspect the detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
