*1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Resto-Mod*Built between 1963 and 1967, the C2 Corvette was a massive departure in design from the car's first generation and ushered in a hardtop coupe for the first time in the model's history. It was also the first Corvette to feature a fully independent rear suspension which made it handle like a true sports car and put it squarely up against anything the Europeans had to offer. This 1967 Corvette Convertible benefits from a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration, during which it received numerous modifications and upgrades, turning this into a true one of a kind sports car.Pictures of this Corvette don't do it justice- in person, the Goodwood Green paint is absolutely spectacular. It is clear that whoever carried out the restoration painstakingly prepared the body and spent significant time making sure that the paint looked flawless and ensured the panel gaps were nice and even throughout the vehicle. One of the most notable features on this car is the oversized Turbine wheels. Meant to replicate a style of wheel originally found on the C2 Corvette, these are new recreations that can be ordered in larger sizes and can more easily accommodate larger brakes and high performance tires. A full RideTech coilover suspension means that this Corvette sits perfectly on these wheels and handles better than a new car when the roads get twisty. One of the most notable options for the C2 was the addition of side exhausts which this car is fitted with and emit a fantastic noise while you're behind the wheel. The interior is classic C2 Corvette but with a number of very nice upgrades that are seamlessly integrated into the car. A custom stereo system was installed that offers clear sound you can actually hear over the side exhaust, which has been aided with the installation of Dynamat throughout the cabin. A set of updated gauges look almost the same as the originals, but offer far more reliable readouts and are complimented with new wiring, which can be found throughout the vehicle. Vintage Air air conditioning has been installed which blows nice and cool, and means this is a vintage sports car you actually look forward to driving on the hottest days of summer.Under the hood of this Stingray is where things get really interesting. A 327ci V8 sits up front in this car that has been thoroughly upgraded to increase both reliability and performance. To start, a Holley EFI system with matching distributor was added, which means no more fumbling with gummed up carbs when driving season starts, all you need to do is get in and hit the road. Stainless steel Flowmaster headers send exhaust back to those aluminum side pipes, and an aluminum radiator was installed up front to keep the whole car cool. A new stainless gas tank has been installed along with stainless steel lines throughout the car. Backing this engine up is a stout Tremec TKX 5-Speed manual gearbox- this offers both great acceleration and relaxed cruising in the top gear. The mechanical setup on this car is just about perfect- it takes away much of the difficulty associated with classic cars, but retains the character of the original. The second generation Corvette is a car that will never go out of style and will be appreciated at any car show for decades to come. This example stands apart from the rest thanks to its full rotisserie restoration and long list of upgrades that make it both more fun to drive, and more convenient to use. To replicate this build would be tremendously expensive and time consuming, and this car needs nothing!Watch a Walkaround Video Here...*Key Features* * Full Rotisserie Restoration * 327ci V8 Engine * Holley EFI * Flowmaster Headers * Aluminum Side Exhaust * Tremec TKX 5-Speed Manual * RideTech Suspension * DynaMat Insulation * New Stereo * Fully Re-Wired * Modern Turbine-Style Wheels * Upgraded 4-Wheel Disc Brakes * LizardSkin UnderCoating * Electronic Headlight Upgrade * Vintage Air Air ConditioningV
