1967 Buick Skylark The Buick Skylark name was first introduced in 1953 and was an interesting vehicle in that during its 46 year run the model was dropped and reintroduced multiple times. Each time the Skylark name returned it was largely different than previous models as Buick was catering to current tastes and technologies. It was released as a high end luxury vehicle and in 1967 federally mandated safety features like hydraulic brakes, energy absorbing steering columns, and hazard lights became required and were incorporated into the car. This nice 1967 Skylark convertible is an older restoration that has been well maintained. It is painted a nice gloss Regal Black paint, which is its original color, paired with a White power convertible top. This year model featured unique double headlights and a pointed grill/bumper. The lights are all working properly with no issues. It also still wears all of its stock emblems and trim. The rear skirts are a nice touch and look great on the car. The exterior has been kept mostly stock except for the addition of custom 20 inch spoke wheels with new Vogue tires. The wheels have Buick center caps and suit the car well. Should you want to put it back to original it does come with the original wheels and hubcaps. They have new white wall tires so you could easily swap them out and continue on driving. Under the hood is the cars original 340 V8 motor that runs great. It is all very stock with its original 340-4 valve covers and single snorkel air cleaner. The only real modification is to the AC system which has been converted to R134. Bering a luxury car in its time in addition to AC the car was ordered with all the power options you could ask for like power steering and power brakes. The transmission is an automatic that transfers power back to the 10 bolt rear end. The dual exhaust system is brand new and delivers a great sound. 4467 Skylark 2 Door Convertible FL1 Flint, Michigan Assembly Plant 167 Red Trim A Regal Black The interior has been redone in its original Red color upholstery and is in excellent condition. It has a front bench seat with Black lap belts and a folding arm rest. It is power adjustable and the car also has power windows. The seats, carpet and door panels are all in good shape. The dash has a mostly stock layout with all of its original gauges, knobs, and switches which are working properly. To avoid cutting up the dash the original radio has been left in place and a new JVC AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/USB stereo with remote was added underneath the dash. It delivers a great sound through aftermarket speakers. A power port phone rapid charger was also added below the dash. The trunk houses the convertible top boot and the original spare. This cool Skylark is a nice driving car and shows well. If you are in the market for a classic convertible this is definitely one to check out. Bring it home to your garage for $34,950.00!
