This 1965 Mustang 2+2 was professionally built from the ground up as a custom Pro-Street machine. Virtually everything is new. The Hoss is NC registered 'street legal', runs on 93-octane and is a very unique piece for getting down the road. (The owner has provided detailed information/specs/receipts on the build/components.) The body is finished in Bright Yellow that was professionally applied and is in very good condition. Accents include nice chrome/stainless and custom hood/grille. Weld racing wheels mount Continental front tires and Nitto Extreme Drag 'cheaters' in the rear. The interior is all business. Each contoured black vinyl bucket seat is are fitted with an RJ 4-point harness and a full padded roll bar swings out on both sides for easy access. The dash incorporates vintage Stewart warner gauges and a center console houses a Hurst shifter with 'piston grip' handle and additional gauges. (Unfortunately, this particular model is 'Radio Delete'.) Finally, plush carpeting and a 3-spoke custom wood wheel add a touch of racing luxury.
Horsepower is furnished by a 427 Windsor 'stroker' motor that has been completely built and prepared for ultimate performance. Output is estimated to be 600hp. Features include: Dart block, AFR aluminum heads, steel crank, JE pistons. H-beam rods, ARP studs, single-plane aluminum intake w/750cfm Holley carburation, Comp Cam, roller timing chain, MSD ignition, Melling oil pump and billet flywheel. A new Tremec 5-speed manual transmission transfers power to a narrowed 9"" Ford posi-traction differential with 4.10:1 gearing and performance axles. The chassis has been built custom built - seriously reinforced and tied to handle the horsepower. Front suspension has tubular control arms, QA1 coil-over shocks with HD spindles. The rear is multi-link ladder bar suspension, QA1 coil-overs and a panhard bar manage alignment of the rear axle. The rear wells have been tubbed to house serious rubber. Stopping power is provided by manual Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. An aluminum fuel cell and the battery in a racing box are relocated to the trunk. There was never an 'Option Code' on Ford's 1965 order sheet for this amazing Mustang 2+2 it is one-of-a-kind and is going to make its new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD ""AS IS"".
