1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 Convertible -
Original 330ci V8 w/Automatic Transmission - Power Top - Power Steering - Original Color Combination -
The Cutlass F85 models had a few more option boxes ticked when ordered from GM than the base Cutlass. One such option was a more powerful engine, in the form of a ultra-high compression 330ci V8. This particular car is finished in the original color combination of Red over White, still has the original engine under the hood, and has a number of great options. in the form of power top, power steering, and power brakes.
The car's compact body style is complimented with the addition of Magnum 500 442 Style OEM wheels that are reportedly wrapped with BF Goodrich red radial tires that were special ordered. Like the exterior, the white interior on this 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 Convertible is all original. From the moment you get comfy on those leather seats, you are treated to the finer details with the original steering wheel and radio still in place.
A Red finish covering the exterior suits this car well. It is the original color of the car, although it has been repainted once 17 years ago (PAINT IS NOT SHOW ROOM CONDITION). The surrounding trim, and brightwork is in great condition as it gives some interest to the simple styling of this attractive, yet slightly slab-sided Cutlass. Color matched wheels, and Red stripe tires finish off the exterior styling.
Inside this F85 is a White leather interior which includes bucket seats, a single bar steering wheel, original radio and a handful of F85 badges. The dashboard features a sweeping speedometer just to the left of a perforated metal trim panel at the center of the dashboard. The power top switch is neatly installed within the metal trim panel, just above the AM radio. A plethora of trunk space is available in the rear of the car, even with a full-size spare tire in there.
This Cutlass F85 is a great package, offering a number of options and engine just a step above a base Cutlass. Add the originality of this car and the convertible, you've got an awesome classic cruiser that is sure to turn heads and spark nostalgia.
Oldsmobile sure knew their way around naming cars and components of cars. You had a car named after a sword used in the 19th century, and when you pop open the hood, the word "Jetfire" is sure to catch your eye. Powering this 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 Convertible is the legendary 330ci (5.4L V8) Jet fire engine. Performance figures when new were rated at 290hp for this comfort cruiser; more than outright performance, this car is much smoother than a Cadillac. Furthermore, the car's electronics still function perfectly as well. Power is sent to the car's rear wheels through an automatic transmission.
This is a very rare 60's convertible, that runs and drives like a new car, come drive it to believe it. I drive this car every weekend to the car shows and parades around me and it never let me down, always thumbs up, make me and people around me smile.
car is so smooth, highway speeds are not an issue, drives beautiful on the free way and in the city and super fun on the canyons.
Only known flaw is: The paint looks perfect and shiny, but when you go closer, you will be able to see some fading and scratches.
