I am the third owner of this vehicle, I have original purchase documentation. I purchased it privately in 1994, when it had 9,800 original miles on it. I had the car painted in 1994 to repair some body rust on the front quarter panels in front of the doors. Rusted parts were cut out and replaced with metal then full body paint job completed by recognized \\\'restoration\\\' body shop using Sikkens paint matched to original factory colour. Paint is better now than new from the factory.
This is the first year of the Valiant model and the first year of the 170 ci Slant 6 engine.
I replaced original tires in 1994 with radial tires. The spare tire and one other tire in the trunk are both original rubber.
The car runs very well, I drive it a few miles a couple of times per year.
The car has been stored indoors in a heated building for the whole time I have owned it. I believe it was stored inside pretty much its entire life.
I have to sell the car because we sold some real estate and it included the garage where I stored it; and, I have no intention of leaving it outside.
