OVERVIEW
This two-door 1953 Chevrolet 210 received rust repair, new panels, fresh paint, and updates to the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and more as part of a restoration completed in December 2023. It is powered by a 235cid I6 backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include new electric windshield wipers, a vintage-look AM/FM radio with external accessory connections, new wiring, power front disc brakes, a new dual-circuit brake master cylinder, a new power brake booster, and a new exhaust system. Finished in apple green and ivory white over a white and green vinyl interior, this 210 comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
During the restoration process, any rust on the body and floors was repaired and the body was finished in apple green and ivory white. Features include restored chrome trim, headlight visors, new electric windshield wipers, dual rearview mirrors, repaired and polished side trim, and reverse lights. New glass and weatherstripping has been installed. The seller states that the original body screws were cleaned and reused during the restoration but they show a bit rust.
Emblems, chrome, and mouthpieces were new, or renovated in detail as if they were new.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of new 15-inch apple green steel wheels with dog dish center caps and trim rings is wrapped in new 195R15C Royal Black Royal Van whitewall radial tires. The wheels were repaired, and new Chevrolet cups were installed.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a green and white vinyl front bench seat, a matching rear seat, and green and white vinyl door panels and trim. All of the seat springs were repaired and the upholstery and carpet is new. Features include manual windows with new regulators, manual steering, a vintage-look AM/FM radio with connections for external accessories, new wiring and bulbs, and new vent window locks. The trunk is upholstered to match the cabin.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 180-km/h speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and battery are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 80,000 kilometers (49,709 miles), but the true kilometrage on this vehicle is unknown. The seller states that all of the gauges are functional and were repaired and equipped with new bulbs during the restoration. Time clock does not work at 12v.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This 210 was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by upgraded power front discs and rear drums connected to a new dual-circuit master cylinder and a new power booster that was installed under the driver's floor. A new single exhaust system has been installed. The body floors and shocks have been replaced. The seller states that all of the undercarriage assembly screws were reused during the restoration and the hardware is a bit rusty.
ELECTRICITY AND LIGHTING:
All wiring, system, electrical connections are new. The interior and exterior light bulbs were completely renewed.
GLASS, GASKETS, LOCKS:
All the glass is new, the rear window opening and closing systems were repaired. New mechanisms in the front windows and windbreaks. The locks are They restored, putting most of the new minor and major mechanisms.
PAINT AND BODY SERVICES:
The car has new floors, all the rust on the doors and fenders was repaired, as seen in the photos.
The professional paint job was done in Undercarriage, engine compartment, interior, and exterior. All this took 2 years, finished in January 2024.
