Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this tastefully restored and modified 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. The vehicle features a V-8 350 cubic inch engine that transfers its power to the rear wheels via three-speed 400 Turbo Hydramatic transmission. The engine was custom built in Arizona with Edelbrock valve head covers and air cleaner with about 10,000 miles on it. The vehicle has independent front Volare Suspension and features front disc brakes. The vehicle also features power steering, and vintage AC that has been chromed. The fan-cooled radiator has been re-cored. The rear end of the truck is from a Camaro. The bed is wood and chrome strips which have both been recently re-finished. The exterior has never experienced dents, and features headlights that have been upgraded as well, with purple tint, and red dots in the taillights. There is a ceramic finish over the paint (believed to be Cranberry Metallic, a Cadillac color from 2001) with custom flames that were added by a shop in Salem, Oregon. There are some minor nicks or scratches in the paint as shown in the photos. The front window visor is from a Chevy Panel Truck. The window glass is all new, with factory tint. The vehicle has approximately 10,000 miles since its latest body off restoration in 2010 which included new fender wells and a custom firewall. The custom interior features bowtie inserts, custom leather seats, and a shifter from a 1967 Camaro. Some flaking of the paint on the inside of the door can be seen in one of the photos. The odometer reads 4247 but is not accurate. The truck comes with an operators manual, and some other literature about Chevy Trucks. The truck starts, runs and drives like new. The 1951 Chevrolet pickup truck embodies the spirit of American ingenuity, craftsmanship, and hard work, making it a cherished classic that continues to captivate automotive enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. Its timeless design, rugged performance, and enduring reliability ensure that it remains a symbol of Americana and a beloved icon of vintage truck culture. The current owner has enjoyed the vehicle for 42 years, holds a great deal of documentation for the work completed and a clean title from the state of Washington where it is located.
