1950 Dodge Pickup.Dodge sold its B-series trucks from 1948 to 1953. The B-series trucks featured a high-visibility 'pilot-house' cab with optional rear quarter windows. The engine was shifted forward and the front axle moved back on the frame for better weight distribution as well as a shorter wheelbase. The cargo bed sides were made higher to increase capacity by 40%. The redesigned cab could seat three people, with 2.5 in higher, 6 in wider and 3 in longer. The cab was mounted on rubber mounts for an improved ride. This particular example was manufactured in 1950 and was completely rebuilt between 2009 and 2018. The engine is a fully rebuilt Ford 302 (5.0 liter) with aluminum valve covers, a Holly 600 CFM carb, a custom manifold and exhaust and an aluminum radiator. The engine is connected to a rebuilt 5 speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission were built by Z Performance in Corona. The power train is estimated to have has less than 1,000 miles on it. The brake system is original to the truck but was entirely rebuilt in 2018. Braking is adequate but braking performance would be greatly improved through the addition of front disc brakes. The rear differential was rebuilt in 2018 and the truck has a custom driveshaft. The truck has a modified steering column and a custom steering wheel. Aftermarket gauges are installed in the truck and the speedometer is a GPS unit. The gas tank is virtually new. The truck was repainted in 2009 and it is in pristine condition. Aftermarket, diamond plate running boards have been installed over the stock running boards. The truck sits on custom aluminum rims and the tires look virtually new. All lights work and the truck runs, drives and steers perfectly. The truck does not have power steering or an operational air conditioning system (but an AC compressor and bracket are emplaced). Receipts for the majority of the referenced work
