Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta
1870 McFarland Parkway Suite 300
Alpharetta, GA 30005
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1949 Plymouth Convertible! Convertibles from this era are always a treat! Painted in sky blue with a cloth blue interior this ride is ready to roll in 1949 style! . The drivetrain is an in-line 6 cylinder with a 3 speed manual transmission spinning the rear wheels. Plymouth featured a synchro-mesh transmission which means going back down to first gear requires a complete stop, or a smooth double-clutch rev-matched downshift. Times sure have changed! For the era Plymouth was innovating some technology. They often bragged in their advertisements how there was no need for chokes, or starter buttons - simply start and go! Their four-wheel hydraulic drum brake system was known as Safe-Guard brakes and were quite impressive. Step into a different era, and buy a piece of history! These are great for cruising, parades, Beach and Lake communities, or whatever else you have in mind!
