Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to offer this gorgeous Merlot Jewel Red 1936 Ford Cabriolet replica. Starting with a Total Cost Involved frame that was set up for a lowered stance, the front was outfitted with chromed tubular upper and lower control arms, chromed sway bar and stabilizer bar, coil-over shocks, Mustang II power rack and pinion steering, and disc brakes. Out back, a Ford 9-inch rear with 3.70:1 gears and TractionLoc differential was chosen to handle getting the power to the ground, and chromed gas shocks handle the damping. The power train consists of a 1997 Ford Racing 302 CID H.O. V8, with GT-40 heads, and a Mustang Cobra aluminum intake. Backing the 302 is a Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission. A large aluminum radiator keeps the 302 cool, and a custom serpentine accessory drive system makes belt changes easy. A 20-gallon stainless steel fuel tank with high flow fuel pump sends as much fuel to the 302 as your right foot needs, and the custom dual exhaust handles getting rid of the spent fossils from the 302, as well as providing that vintage hot rod sound. Other goodies on this glass-bodied street rod include Ron Francis wiring harness, Lokar shifter, through-frame brake lines, and chromed real wire wheels with classic raised white letter BFG Radial T/A tires at each corner. The hood, engine side panels, and grille are steel Ford pieces, and their fitment is nicely executed. A real NOS (New Old Stock) Ford gas lid has been outfitted with a lock, which is a nice touch. There is even a "Ford blue" LED lighting system for the undercarriage, which provides a cool glow at night. The interior was thoughtfully designed by a Ford engineer, and includes a full complement of vintage Ford style gauges, a nicely integrated vent system and cold air conditioning, Kenwood Dual DIN touch screen LED display-equipped AM/FM/Satellite radio head unit with backup camera display, integrated Bluetooth hands-free connection, GPS tracking by Lojack, four Harmon-Kardon Kappa speakers, JL Audio 500 watt 4-channel amp, a Euphoria subwoofer, and Kenwood tweeters. This baby can belt out the tunes! Front seat occupants will enjoy the smell of the leather trim and find comfortable accommodations in the perforated leather-equipped high back buckets. If the sun beats down on you too much, just raise the custom beige cloth top. Rumble seat passengers get treated to a more weather-resistant synthetic leather bench out back. This 36 Ford replica has everything a street rodder needs to have a fun time getting to all of the car shows youll want to attend (or just plain cruising in style on those summer nights). With cold Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and a great sound system, you cant go wrong! Give our Houston Showroom a call or email us today to make it yours!
